I really like your blog and I can definitely relate. I've been trying to be vegan since march and the longest I've been raw so far was three weeks. The best three weeks ever (lost 15 lbs). Lately I've been struggling with just being vegan. But now I'm determined to be raw for 100 days. I started yesterday. I'd love to support you on your journey. :) When did you first try out raw food by the way? -Anessa

I first tried out raw food in the Spring of ‘09, I committed to stay raw for a 7 day cleanse. That was before I was even vegan. I was only vegetarian at the time but I was loving the way raw foods made me feel. I stayed raw for a few weeks, but then I went on a cruise and I feel off the wagon. (hard)
Then a dealt with a lot of personal issues in my life, and food once again became my comfort. I stayed vegetarian but I was eating a diet full of carbs and cheese. (not so good)
I gained 50 lbs and I realized I had to do something about it. So I went Vegan. I’ve been vegan now since February ‘10 and I’ve lost 25 lbs. I was feeling great, but as the holidays rolled around I found myself eating lots of carbs again, and generally feeling like crap.
So now I’m doing a juice fast, to try and reset my system, and I am going to try my best to stay raw for 3 weeks and see how I feel.
